At Dougherty Apartments, we deliver an integrated living model that brings together residential aged care, retirement living and public housing within one connected community.
A number of public housing units are managed by Homes NSW as part of our unique co-located, vertical community. Public housing tenants are valued members of the community, living alongside other residents with dignity, respect and connection.
Dougherty Apartments was founded on the vision of creating an inclusive community where older people from all backgrounds and circumstances can belong. That founding purpose continues to guide our approach today, fostering a community built on inclusion, fairness and a sense of belonging.
An inclusive and integrated living model

Since our founding, we have delivered an integrated housing model that remains a defining feature of our community. All our residents across aged care, independent living, and public housing contribute to a shared culture of inclusion, respect and belonging.
Built on respect and equity, our model supports every resident to live with dignity, independence and a strong sense of belonging, regardless of their personal circumstances.
We provide 37 one-bedroom public housing units integrated with our Retirement Living apartments.
Each apartment is a fully self-contained residence designed to support freedom and independence in daily life, while also providing access to high-quality shared facilities, building services, maintenance support and enhanced security.
Public housing allocations are managed through the NSW Government (Homes NSW) system, not through direct application to Dougherty Apartments.
